Gateway to the Swiss Alps Known for its international diplomacy, Geneva is the gateway city to the Swiss Alps and contains many international organisations that lend the lake-side city a cosmopolitan flair. It is filled with the best in cuisine, diverse languages and people, and top 5-star hotels. It's easy to fly in to Geneva Airport, and like the rest of Switzerland, the public transport system is incredibly efficient. And the antique shops and steep, cobbled streets of the Old Town can be explored by foot or bicycle. Many of the sights are monumental buildings such as the St Pierre Cathedral, but you can escape the chilly winters inside museums and galleries displaying everything from the Renaissance to the Contemporary. Even if getting out into the wilderness of the Swiss Alps isn't an option, there's plenty of nature accessible within the city limits. Parc des Bastions offers tree-lined walks and a game of giant chess and Parc de la Grange is a green space situated on the Lake Geneva promenade.

There is a bush tucker walk, a flestering walk (the art of discarded objects) and a children's seek and find, which is a lot of fun encouraging children to learn about the natural environment through a series of activities and discoveries to stimulate the 5 senses. There is also a wildlife and bird spotting trail, with a spot in the guidebooks to record your sightings. There are a lot of educational opportunities for families, with a plant a tree program for guests to leave an eco footprint in the area and aid the future growth. There is also worm farms in use, which kids tend to find pretty exciting. You also have the chance to learn about growing coffee and if you are lucky enough, Owner Keith may even have time to show you some of the steps involved in collecting the coffee beans. Even for a non coffee drinker like myself, this was a fascinating process to witness. Mostly, though, my childhood dog, which was a Golden Retriever. I've never been the primary caregiver, but I've been involved in a dogs life throughout puppy, adult and senior stages. Do you have other pets or are you planning on having other pets? If so, what breed/type, age, and sex are they? No other pets, though it would be important that my pet could get along with others (family pets, as mentioned, which are mostly female). Do you have children or are you planning on having children? Do you often have children as visitors, such as nieces, nephews, cousins, or friends' children? Almost never have children visiting, but it could happen with extended family. Do you rent or will you be renting in the future? If so, what breed or weight restrictions are on your lease? What type of building do you rent (condo, apartment, high-rise apartment, townhome, single-family home, etc)? Renting from family. They are dog owners themselves, and have no issues with me owning a dog. It's a flat (above a shop, stairs to get in and out, and a gated off/secure area outside (no grass! )
They have two sittings at either 6pm or 8pm and they are usually very busy. On the night we visited they were packed and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The old red brick walls and wagon wheels suit the style and the small bar is a good spot to sit and wait for your table. The food and wood fired smells reminded us so much of our trip to Italy and the fried bread dessert was to die for. The people next to us just looked over and then called the waiter to order "what she is having". We are going back again this week, what more of a recommendation could you want. Some guests recently introduced us to a new wine tour company that has a special "paws tour". We know that this will appeal to many of our guests. If you haven't got your own pet, you can always borrow theirs for the day. Take a look at

Great Regional stay Nice large well equipped rooms, nice dining room for breakfast. I / we worry about the shower in bathroom, especially for elderly or unstable people, some non slip in bath would help. Perfect stay❤ Loved the size of the room, the updated bathroom, comfy bed, big shower and mini fridge. Housekeeping came in daily but they didn't change our used glasses. The location was very good with Hungry Jacks(came in handy as other restaurants were either fully reserved or closed early because of long weekend) and Petrol pump across the road.
