Sometimes a bit of walking is required and the whole experience is adventurous. Date of experience: December 2020 Natalie wrote a review Jun 2020 London, United Kingdom 30 contributions 24 helpful votes We had an incredible time skiing in Shiga Kogen. The resort was really well run, there were a vast variety of slopes and the snow was incredible. Didn't get a chance to cover it all in the time we were there either so would definitely return! Date of experience: March 2020 This is a great ski area that caters for all ski abilities and pisted very well. Had our best ever hot chocolate at the kiosk at the top of the gondola. I'd happily return here to ski if the lift system was modernised to European standards. This isn't the only resort with dated lift system. Annoyingly, there is no direct bus from either end of the ski area, which is a real pain, and the 2 buses don't link up time wise. … Date of experience: February 2020 Mark P wrote a review Mar 2020 Sarina, Australia 49 contributions 9 helpful votes Our favourites were the black run off Ichinose Family (because everyone else on that lift are beginners riding the green run) and the Yakebitaiyama area.

Date of experience: February 2020 john m wrote a review Mar 2020 Shell Cove, Australia 25 contributions 9 helpful votes Has a large number of small resorts joined together so you can cruise around a big variety of runs. Eating options are a bit limited, so try and get a hotel in a village. Ichinose is pretty good and central. Some tree runs. Runs are generally not overly long, plenty of steeps. Very nice in the powder. … Date of experience: February 2020
