Tenancy agreements for variable periods may also be arranged, including monthly, quarterly and half-yearly. These rental periods may suit expats better but are less common to find. Leases should stipulate all the necessary terms and conditions of renting, including notice periods, termination dates, deposits, utilities and rental increases. Generally, rent increments are established yearly, though this may depend on the agreed contract. Deposits Landlords in Lagos are known to charge not only high deposits but also require several months up to a full year of rent to be paid as a lump sum, rather than monthly. Many landlords will stand their ground with this demand, and prospective tenants must either comply and pay upfront or continue their house hunt. Utilities Tenants generally bear the costs for utilities as well as internal repairs on the property. Landlords are responsible for external and infrastructural repairs, but rarely much else. On top of electricity costs, tenants will also need to consider generator costs to compensate for the unreliable electricity supply in Lagos.

A very rounded visit taking in culture and nature. The area grows on you. The area grows on you. The De Biesbosch national park was lovely and the old part of Dordrecht itself was very quaint. We found some lovely shops and beautiful little streets. The boat tour was great but no translations so we had no idea what the chap was saying, it was still lovely to see the town from the water though. Dordrecht is a fine, compact, historic Dutch town. Welcome to Cua Dai Beach Heading east of Hoi An, new housing and hotels mix with older rice paddies, and the riverbank meanders for around 5km to sandy beaches. This palm-fringed coastline extends north to Danang, and despite the development, there are still a few quieter stretches; it's a good area to explore independently on two wheels. They had even left the heating on prior to arrival. The property was lovely and very clean. It was a good location for exploring the surrounding areas. The beds were comfy! The rooms are bigger than you would expect to see from the outside, and there's more than enough room for kids to be busy with their own activities while parents check out the rest of the resort (and the other way around). There are excellent restaurants right there as well as a pool that's great for kids, and an included breakfast with your stay that makes it feel a little bit more like a holiday. Some rooms have bunk beds on offer, and amenities like wi-fi and a laundry and cleaning servie are available – and yes, you can book a separate room for the kids if you have a bigger family. 10. Anaheim Marriot Even though the Anaheim Marriot hotel is located a little bit further from the actual Disneyland resort, it's one of the top hotels to visit for a family of 4. There's a huge pool that both adults and kids can enjoy, and a lot of added extras for both kids and adults – including great restaurants with kid-friendly menu options and special deals for kids. The Anaheim offers gorgeous fully-furnished rooms with wi-fi capability throughout, and the rooms all have a small kitchen unit together with a microwave, fridge and coffee maker – or you can just head off to Starbucks, also located at the resort.
