[4] History [ edit] Mgahinga Gorilla National Park was established in 1991 in an area that used to be a game reserve between the 1930s and 1950, but was partly converted to crop fields in lower altitudes. Biological surveys were initiated in 1989, wire traps destroyed, rangers trained and trees planted. Settlers were relocated to areas outside the national park's borders in the early 1990s. [1] In November 2013, the M23 Movement, a Congolese rebel group, surrendered in the park after being defeated by the Congolese Army in the M23 rebellion. What are Travel Expenses? Travel expenses are costs associated with traveling for the purpose of conducting business-related activities. Reasonable travel expenses can generally be deducted by the business when employees incur costs while traveling away from home specifically for business purposes. Those business purposes can include conferences or meetings. While many travel expenses can be deducted, those that are unreasonable, lavish or extravagant in nature, or those that are for personal purposes, are excluded. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) considers employees to be traveling away from home if their business obligations require them to be away from their "tax home" (the general area where their main place of business is located) substantially longer than an ordinary day's work, and they need to get sleep or rest to meet the demands of their work while away. Key Takeaways Travel expenses are costs associated with traveling for the purpose of conducting business-related activities.

SELF CONTAINED, TIMBER WORKERS COTTAGES The cottages are original timber mill workers homes, reflecting a bygone era. Each cottage is privately owned, renovated to varying levels and cater to a varied number of guests. Most have beautiful polished jarrah floor boards and are comfortably furnished. You can choose to stay in a basic traditional style cottage or a cottage that offers a little more comfort. We ask our guests to leave the cottages in the same tidy condition as when they arrived. We want you to enjoy your stay and like to paint an accurate picture of this holiday destination. PETS - Due to some guests bringing their dogs with them, not abiding by the rules and letting them run out of control, this sadly resulted in attacks on our wildlife, therefore, DOGS ARE BY AGREEMENT ONLY. There will be a $100. 00 pet bond which will be refundable if there are no issues. DOGS MUST BE KEPT ON A LEAD AT ALL TIMES WHILE IN THE VILLAGE AREA. PLEASE NOTE; There are 1080 baits in the area.
Clean and tidy with helpful friendly staff. The bistro served an excellent meal at a reasonable price (really was very good! ). Rooms were a decent size and clean. " Stayed in March 2018 "Good deal in winter. Best location in Swansea. " "I have lived in Swansea for two years so I've known this hotel for a long time. It's at a good location, really close to city centre and the train station. Staff were nice and polite; the room was a bit small and old but with a reasonable price.
